Tuesday May 4th Day 2 Nurburg-Modena 600 miles

Following a hearty breakfast at the Dorint, the Rabbit-Runners headed off at two minute intervals, again in pursuit of the Rabbit, whilst heading for the second destination, Modena in Italy via Switzerland.

The Rabbit-Runners set off in an order calculated from their times from day 1 (i.e. slowest car first (Ronart Lightning) with the quickest leaving last (Ferrari 550) except for one of the official cars).

The competitive nature of the Rabbit-Runners was now becoming apparent, with a real battle developing to be the first to Modena. The big question was 'would Mark and Simon in one of the SL's ever get out of Belgium?' (What they were doing there God only knows.)

Who would beat the Rabbit and collect a 15 minute time credit ? Could Gary and Matt in the X5 embarrass so many cars again ?

Which Rabbit-Runners would pick the right route to arrive at the Hotel Real Fini? Once again where is that Mole Valley Noble?

The evening was spent at the sumptuous Café Concerto in the heart of Modena in order to wind down from the hectic day's schedule and as ever discuss tactics for the days ahead.
